10 months of preparation, 3 & 1/2 months of traveling, a couple weeks of unloading and setting up, - - a lifetime of enriched lives and new opportunities for Rwandan children. We’ve put together an appreciation video for all who contributed toward this adventure. Many donated instruments, many contributed financially, many prayed with us, and all of us can get excited about the results we’re already seeing.
I’ve started a lot of beginning band students in my days as a band director since 1990, but I’ve never started so many all at once. As of September 1, we have 115 beginning band students at Green Hills Academy. GHA has become only the 2nd school in Rwanda to have a band program. The interest, desire, and enthusiasm is high, many more students want to be added (we have waiting lists for each band), and many more schools want to start a similar instrumental program. We need more instruments, and we need additional music teachers!
The Gaskill family through their ministry, Rwanda Rising, wishes to express our gratitude. So many have given to make our ministry possible and contributed toward the provision of resources for the foundation of great music and changed lives in the heart of Africa. Enjoy the video! (and don't miss the bonus video below too)
