Important Things To Say

First of all - we want to say welcome to our new blog (G notes). This is part of our new web page and a new way for us to keep everyone up to date with what's going on with the Gaskills in Kigali (actually we're not in Kigali yet but you'll figure out that we're on our way back soon). ...So, just like the picture of MIles blowing his vuvuzela indicates - We're glad you're with us, keep reading, because we have some 'Important things to say'!

The Lord has affirmed us in our steps of faith back onto the ‘Road to Rwanda’ and in order to get there, we need help. It’s not so much that our words are so important, or even certainly not that our ministry is important above other dynamic ministries around the globe, but we do believe that we need to be faithful to speak of what God has done in our lives, and of the doors of opportunity that he has opened within Rwanda to present the gospel. - and in our case, the gospel through music. People need a chance to hear of this. The Lord will do His work in encouraging individuals to join with us, but people need to know. One has to be careful with context, but I do like to combine scriptures sometimes. So as it says when combining Col. 4:4 and Acts 14:27 – we need to make the most out of every opportunity to report all that God has done through us and how He has opened doors of faith to all peoples (the beautiful people of Rwanda). We have important things to say. Will you help us with this? You can help us by being a part of opening doors for us while we’re here in the U.S. We would love to come share at your church, your Sunday School class, or your home group. Perhaps you belong to a community group that would appreciate hearing about the incredible adventure of introducing band and orchestra instruments into a country that has never had that. The list is growing of school bands (middle, high, and even college) who are partnering with us. Do you have an additional connection? The principle of multiplication comes into effect with how you can introduce us to someone whom the Lord wants to use as an integral part of our ministry. Will you prayerfully consider how you can help? In our months leading up to our return in May, we need to add not only awareness of our mission work in Rwanda, but we need to add to our numbers:

- people willing to pray for us regularly - additional monthly financial supporters - one-time financial donations for major projects - additional instruments, music & equipment for the container

See our partnering page for how to join with us. I’ve said before, “watch out when Jen prays” and recently one of the prayers Jen has been praying is the portion of ‘the prayer of Jabez’ asking the Lord to enlarge our territory. Perhaps this can happen through you. Can you help us connect with others? February, March, and April are key months.

Please send us a note on our ‘Let’s Connect’ page.
